The Yazidi Genocide Archive: An Educational Resource for a Contemporary Tragedy

Writer: Seth EislundSeth Eislund

Updated: Dec 28, 2023

The development of the Yazidi Genocide Archive has begun! Find out more about the project below.

I am pleased to announce that the development of the Yazidi Genocide Archive has begun! For the past few months, I have been conducting interviews with Yazidi survivors and scholarly experts, as well as transcribing primary sources that relate to the genocide.

The Yazidi Genocide Archive will enable scholars, educators, and the general public to learn more about the 2014 genocide and the Yazidi people. It will also provide reliable sources that will help people in their research, educational work, and activism, such as oral history interviews, historical documents, and more.

Please feel free to keep up with the development of the archive on this blog! And, if you are a Yazidi survivor, community member, or scholarly expert who would like to be interviewed, please reach out to me through my website's "Contact Us" form! I would love to meet with you and hear your story.

Thank you for your support and best wishes to all!
