After months of research and transcribing, the Yazidi Genocide Archive is happy to announce the publication of two new scholarly interviews: Matthew Travis Barber, one of the leading experts on the 2014 Yazidi Genocide, and Professor Adam Jones, an esteemed authority on genocide whose research focuses on the intersection of gender, genocide, and mass violence. These interviews convey invaluable knowledge about the political history and legacy of the 2014 genocide, as well as about the broader concept of genocide and its manifestations in the past and present.
With the completion of the Matthew Travis Barber and Adam Jones interviews, only one more scholarly interview remains to be transcribed. The subject of the interview is Professor Philip Kreyenbroek, a prominent Iranian, Kurdish, and Yazidi studies scholar who has conducted important research on the Yazidi community’s religion, history, and culture. The Yazidi Genocide Archive looks forward to deepening its archival resources with these new interviews and will add more materials, especially primary sources, in the near future.
